Play Speed Cards: tap fast and empty your cards before the CPU
Speed Cards is a free one-on-one card race. You and the CPU each have 20 cards: five in your hand and fifteen waiting behind them. There are two piles in the middle, and both players play on them at the same time. There are no turns. Whoever empties their cards first wins.
How to play
- Match one up or one down. Tap a card in your hand that is one higher or one lower than the top card of either middle pile. An Ace and a King count as neighbours, so the ranks wrap around. Suits do not matter.
- Keep your hand full. Each card you play is replaced from your waiting cards until they run out.
- Chains. Play cards quickly, within about a second and a half of each other, and you build a chain. Your best chain is saved with your stats.
- Fumbles. Tap a card that does not fit and your hand freezes for a moment, so a wrong tap costs you time.
- Spare piles. If nobody can play, the spare cards on each side are flipped onto the middle piles so the race can go on.
Levels
Easy gives you hints and a slower CPU. Normal has no hints. Hard has the fastest CPU, and it picks its plays more cleverly. You can also press the number keys 1 to 5 to play the card in that slot. Under the game, the visible chain planner can show a route of cards you can play from what is on the table.
Saving
Your stats for each level are saved on your device in your browser, under speed-cards:v1. There is no account and nothing to download.
