How to play Seven Card Stud
Two cards down, four face up, one final card down. Best five wins.
- Everyone starts with 1,000 free play chips. Each hand, every player puts in a 2-chip ante. Then the player showing the lowest up card must bet 5 chips to get things going (the bring-in).
- You get three cards to start, then one more after each round of betting, seven in all. The first two cards and final card are private (face down). The four in the middle are face up, so everyone can see them. Watch your opponents’ up cards.
- Every bet and raise is one fixed size: 10 chips in the early rounds and 20 chips later. There can be at most four bets in a round. Fourth street always uses the small bet (10 chips), even if someone shows a pair.
- The best five-card poker hand wins (you choose the best five of your seven cards). If two players tie, they split the pot.
If a player runs out of chips, a smaller side pot is made automatically. Bets that nobody calls go back to the player.
