How to play Rhythm Tap
Rhythm Tap is a free music-timing game you play in your browser. Notes fall down four lanes toward a glowing line. Tap the lane at the moment a note reaches the line. The tune plays in the game, so there is nothing to download.
Controls
On a phone, tap the lane the note is in. On a keyboard, use D, F, J and K for the four lanes. The arrow keys and the number keys 1 to 4 work too.
Scoring
- Perfect (very close to the line): 300 points.
- Great: 200 points.
- Good: 100 points.
- Keep hitting without a miss to build a combo. A bigger combo multiplies your points, up to 4 times.
Health
You start with a full health bar. Each miss takes some off and breaks your combo. Each hit gives a little back. If the bar hits zero, the song ends early.
Easy, Normal or Hard
Easy plays at 96 beats per minute, Normal at 116 and Hard at 136. Harder songs have more notes, the notes fall faster, and some chords where two notes come at once. Misses also hurt more on Hard.
Your best
Your best score is saved in this browser. Nothing is posted anywhere. Under the game, Bar-by-bar lane rehearsal lets you practise any bar of a song with no timer. It never changes your scores.
