How to play Picross Mini
Each puzzle is a small grid, 5 squares across and 5 down. Some squares are filled in. Some stay empty. When you finish, the filled squares make a picture.
- Look at the numbers on the left of each row and above each column. Each number is a run of filled squares in a row. A clue of 2 1 means two filled squares, a gap, then one filled square. A clue of 0 means the whole line is empty.
- Tap a square to fill it. Tap it again to clear it. You can also drag across a row or a column to fill several at once.
- Switch to Mark (or right-click) to put an X on squares you know are empty. The X is only a note for you.
When a line matches its numbers, its clue fades. If a line has too many filled squares, its clue turns red. Fill the whole grid right and the picture appears.
Stars, hints and the 30 pictures
There are 30 pictures. Solve one in under 30 seconds with no hints for 3 stars. Under a minute is 2 stars. Anything slower is 1 star. Each hint costs one star.
A hint either marks a wrong square with an X or shows you one square you missed. Undo takes back your last move. Clear wipes the grid. The Puzzle checkpoints box under the game lets you keep a copy of your squares before you try a new idea.
