How to play Number Memory
A number flashes on the screen. Remember it, then type it back on the keypad. Each right answer makes the next number one digit longer. You have 3 lives, and the run ends when you lose them all. Your best run is the longest number you got right, called your span.
- Classic: type the number back as shown.
- Reverse: type it backwards. Worth 1.5 times the points.
- Blitz: the number flashes for about half as long. Worth 1.5 times the points.
Scoring
A right answer scores 10 points per digit (times the mode bonus), multiplied by your streak of right answers, up to x5. If you tap "Got it, let me type" early, you also earn a small bonus. At the end, a short note compares your span with the typical adult span of about 7 digits. Your best span and score for each mode are saved on this device.
Chunking Workshop
Under the game, the Chunking Workshop teaches a memory trick: break long numbers into small groups. It is untimed practice and never changes your span, score or lives.
