Morse code game: learn the alphabet by playing
Morse code writes each letter as a pattern of short taps (dots) and long taps (dashes). The letter E is one dot. The letter T is one dash. This game helps you learn all 26 patterns, a few at a time.
There are two ways to play. In Send mode, the game shows you a big letter. You tap the DOT and DASH buttons to key in its code. You can also type a full stop and a hyphen, or press J and K. In Listen mode, you watch the lamp and hear the beeps. Then you pick the letter you heard from four choices. Press 1 to 4 to choose, and R to hear it again.
A round is 12 letters. Each right answer scores 10 points, or 5 if you used a hint. Get answers right in a row and your combo goes up by one step every three letters, up to five times the points. A quick answer earns 5 bonus points.
You start with just 4 letters in the Learn set. Get at least 10 of 12 right and the game unlocks 2 more letters. Pick All 26 to practise the whole alphabet at once. You earn three stars for a perfect round, two for 80 percent or more, and one for half or more.
Open the code chart to see every pattern and tap a letter to hear it. The colours show how well you know each letter. Open Signal Studio to type a whole message, play it as a signal and step through the gaps between the beeps. The game saves your progress and best scores in this browser. Try the other word games too.
