How to play Jigsaw Slide

A picture has been cut into square tiles and scrambled, with one tile missing to leave a gap. Slide the tiles around the gap until the picture is whole again.

  1. Tap any tile in the same row or column as the gap. The whole line between that tile and the gap slides one step toward the gap.
  2. You can also swipe on the board toward the gap, or use the arrow keys.
  3. Hold Peek to look at the finished picture. The 123 button hides or shows the tile numbers. A green number means the tile is already in its right place.

Sizes, stars and pictures

Choose 3x3 (Easy), 4x4 (Mid) or 5x5 (Hard). When you solve it, your moves are compared with the minimum number of steps the tiles were away from home. The fewer extra moves you waste, the more stars you earn, up to 3. The game keeps your best moves, best time and stars for each size on this device. There are 5 pictures (Sunset Peaks, Night City, Ocean Sail, Balloon Festival and Flower Garden), and the Picture button switches between them.
