How to play Snack Snake
Snack Snake is a free snake game you play in your browser. You steer a snake around the board. Eat the snacks to grow longer and score points. Don't crash. There is nothing to download and no sign-up.
Controls
On a phone, swipe on the board to turn, or use the on-screen arrow pad. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys or W, A, S and D. Space pauses and resumes. After a crash, press R or Enter to play again.
Three boards
- Classic: the walls are solid. Hit one and the run ends.
- Open Wrap: go off one edge and you come back on the opposite edge.
- Obstacle Maze: blocks stand in your way. Hitting one ends the run.
In every mode, biting your own tail ends the run. The snake also gets faster as it grows.
Snacks
- Apple: 1 point, and your snake grows by 1.
- Golden Berry: 5 points, but only for a short time. A ring shows how long is left.
- Speed Berry: 2 points. For 6 seconds your snake is faster and each snack is worth double.
Combos and portals
Eat another snack within 3 seconds and your combo goes up, as far as x5. Portals come in pairs. Go into the cyan one and you come out of the pink one. Open Wrap always has portals. The other boards sometimes do.
Your records
Your best score for each board and your sound setting are saved in this browser. Nothing is posted anywhere. Under the game, Turn Scout lets you look one step ahead on a frozen copy of the board. It never changes your score. Want another game? Try Fort Pop, Vcrush, Plates, or Pocket Pipes.
