How to play Color Flood
The board is a grid of coloured squares. You own the top-left corner. Your goal is to turn the whole board into one colour.
- Tap a colour button under the board. You can also tap any square, or press 1 to 6 on a keyboard.
- Your corner group turns into that colour. It also swallows every touching square that already has that colour, so the group grows.
- Keep going until one colour covers the board. You must do it before your moves run out.
Moves, par and stars
Each board has a par, which is the number of moves a solver needs. Your limit is a few moves above par: 3 more on 8x8, 4 more on 12x12 and 5 more on 16x16 (never more than 20, 28 or 38 moves). Finish in par or fewer for 3 stars. Finish in the first half of the extra moves for 2 stars. Finish in the last half of the extra moves for 1 star.
Pick 8x8, 12x12 or 16x16. Daily gives everyone the same board for the day. The shapes button adds a symbol to every colour, which helps if colours look alike to you. Press N for a new board, or R after a loss to retry the same one. The preview box under the game lets you test a colour without spending a move. Your best scores and stars are saved on this device.
